"Oi, Boomer!"
I had to look up what it meant the first time someone called me a Boomer! And although it's often used as a derogatory term, I don't mind being associated with some of the best years for music and popular culture; the latter half of the last century. That's why I chose the "Boomer" tag for the website, social media pages and the radio programmes and podcasts. It's tongue-in-cheek, but us old farts have never been ones to take ourselves too seriously!
The Boomer Top Ten Collection is not just for Old Codgers and Boomers! We hope that everyone will find things within these web pages that keep you amused, entertained, intrigued and informed - whatever your age!
It is a celebration of popular music, arts and some of the social characteristics of the 50s through to the 90s. And it's fun and easy to access these bite size snatches of information.
These are presented as Top Tens, just for fun, compiled from research and the personal recommendations of those who contribute to the Boomer Top Tens social media pages. We are also really happy to hear from you about your views and the choices you might make, via our Contact page.
